Rice porridge with cherries, almonds and vanilla

Inspired by the traditional Danish Christmas pudding ris á l’amande, we have created the most delicious porridge for your baby. We have used whole grain rice and added sweet cherries.

The pudding is ideal for breakfast or as a snack and is suitable for babies from 6 months.

Rice porridge with cherries, almonds and vanilla

Ingredients

  • 0,5 dl whole grain rice
  • 1 tsk. freeze dried cherry powder
  • 5-10 raisins
  • 1 tsk. almond flour
  • A pinch of vanilla powder
  • 1 dl water
  • 0,2 dl breast milk or formula
  • 1 tsk. fat

Instructions

1. Blend the freeze dried cherry powder and raisins in a food processor.
2. Pour all the ingredients into a saucepan and add 1 dl cold water. Bring the pudding to boil while whisking it, and boil at a low temperature for 2-3 minutes. If needed, add more water if you think the pudding is too thick. Whisk the pudding until it has the right consistency and is ready to be served. Add fat and milk.
3. Served chilled. Leftovers should be discarded.
