Oatmeal with apples, almonds and raisins

“Birche porridge”

This is our own version of the famous Birche porridge developed by the Swiss doctor Maximilian Bircher-Benner who lived from 1867-1939.

The delicious porridge is filled with flavor, nutrition and consistency.  We have used Danish whole grain oats and added sweet raisins, apples and almonds, which provides your baby a nutritious and filling meal.

Oatmeal with apples, almonds and raisins

Ingredients

  • 0,5 dl gluten free whole grain oatmeal flour
  • 1 tsp. almond flour
  • 5-10 green Khorog raisins
  • 1 tsp. apple puree
  • 1 tsp. fat, e.g. rapeseed oil
  • 0,2 dl breast milk or formula
  • 0,5 dl water

Instructions

1. Blend the oat flour, almond flour and raisins in a food processor.
2. Mix it and add boiling water. Stir until the porridge is tender. Add apple puree, fat and milk.
3. Served chilled. Leftovers should be discarded.
