Raw pineapple contains an enzyme named bromelain, which sometimes makes your tongue and lips sore.

Heating and baking the pineapple break down the bromelain, meaning that the tickling feeling will disappear.

  • 1 ripe pineapple


1. Peel the ripe pineapple and remove all unwanted parts.
2. Cut it into 4 thick slices. Bake the slices for 30-45 minutes at 150 Celcius degrees until they have a nice golden color. Blend the pineapple in a food processor or blender until you have a soft puree.
3. Use the puree as a topping on your baby’s porridge or in smoothies.
